In 1981 a formal link was agreed between the Society and Phytochemistry whereby the journal became the official organ of the Phytochemical Society of Europe. Under the terms of this agreement the journal carries announcements of future meetings of the Society and its awards, as well as brief abstracts of Society meetings, subject to editorial approval. At any time there are at least two members of the Society on the Editorial board of Phytochemistry and a concessionary subscription rate is available for Society members to purchase Phytochemistry for their own use.
